Dear Ms. Patterson:

Congratulations! Your application to participate in the exchange program to University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Austria for the winter term 2016 has been approved by MacEwan International.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Patterson is now on a path to Austria. Over the next 5 months I will be working on piles of paperwork so that I can live for 4-6 months in Steyr, Austria.

Doesn’t it look beautiful? That’s my future campus. I may be just a little excited.

 

I have a long way to go still. And a life to live once I get there. And I want to remember all of it. Journals are wonderful for that, but writing in a journal, and emailing my parents, and updating all my social media outlets is a lot of writing about the same thing. So I thought, why not simplify everything, and do it once? A blog, duh, is the answer to my need.

 

So I will update with info about my adventure: applications, new information, etc. Because that’s what you want to read about, obviously.

Here’s an introduction, of sorts.

My name is Emma K. I live in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. I will be living in Steyr, Austria in a year from now, taking a semester of University and travelling the European Continent following my wandering heart and my eager feet.

Because I have left my heart in so many places, and I hope to fall in love with many more.
