Another early morning was ahead of us. We packed up our backpacks, and made the usual trek to the bus station. We had to get on the 4 hour bus back to Dubrovnik. We figured, the earlier, the better.

So away we went. And the bus was pretty full! On the way we stopped and picked up lots of people at various stops along the way. It was pretty crazy actually – people just kept getting on! I’m sure if we took a later bus it would have been worse.

I eventually fell asleep, and woke up with a border guard in my face. He said, almost rudely “Good Morning Princess”, which was not pleasant. I had to quickly shake Celesta awake next to me, and we both had to scramble to get our passports for stamping. He laughed as he moved down the row from us, which also added insult to injury.  Needless to say, I was overall embarassed.

We made a couple stops on the way for breaks, with the whole ride taking just over 5 hours. Upon arriving in Dubrovnik, we hopped on a local bus that took us through through the city and into Cavtat, a small town outside of Dubrovnik, where our last airbnb was. We checked in, had a short rest, and then treked down to the coastline where we wandered the promenade and eventually got some dinner.

When we sat down for food, I asked our waiter what his favorite dish was, and he said the sea bass. So obviously, I ordered that haha.

And I got the whole sea bass haha. It was actually really good – I love fish, and this was really flaky and cooked really well. 10/10 recommendation by our waiter haha.

We did some shopping for souvenirs, got some ice cream, and watched the sun go down.

We went back to the apartment, both showered, and then hunkered in to watch a movie on netflix. The internet was kinda rubbish though, and it kept breaking up. We had to eventually give up and go to bed, much later than we probably should have.

We also have a travel tradition of doing facemasks on our last night, so we obviously did that too! haha

We definitely didn’t get enough sleep for the following days events. Can’t believe my Croatia trip posts are almost finished!
