Bel-FAST Indeed!

After the magic of Northern Ireland, we had one last morning in Belfast before moving on. We packed up and stored our things for a small fee at the Belfast visitor center in the main part of the city. From there, we took a bus to another place I was excited to see.

Queens was so pretty. I wish my school was this pretty. But I would probably be too distracted to pay attention. So I guess it worked out okay.

We wandered around the campus, and actually ran into a tour group made up of deaf tourists. I was so excited, I got to practice my sign language with them. They were from Germany, and really friendly.

Just across the street was a place called Maggie Mays, which was a “must visit” place recommended by my friend Blair. So we had to stop by. It was another ‘Queen of Tarts’ situation where we were just walking and suddenly spotted it!

On the other side of the campus was some gardens, with a greenhouse and a rose garden. I made sure we spent lots of time there, mostly for my grandma, who LOVES plants and flowers.

After Queens, we headed back into the main part of town, where we walked around the city hall, grabbed some snacks, and did a little window shopping.

We also found a Tim Hortons?! What the heck?

From the visitor center, we grabbed our luggage and got on the airport bus to take us to Glasgow! We looked at taking a ferry/boat across, but it seemed a little complicated, and the flight was cheap. It was a short 45 minutes across to “the mainland”, where we grabbed a taxi to our airbnb.

We made it to Glasgow!

We arrived around dinner time, so once we checked in, we went for a walk, got some groceries, and relaxed and chatted into the evening.

We had made it to Scotland, and were ready to enjoy it!
